tricot to release new album '10' on Oct. 21!There is also an art collaboration with the illustrator Asami Matsumura
tricot, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, announced to release its original full album "10 (read as JU in Japanese)" on October 21. 10 new songs are included in the CD, and the video product includes the new music video and a live video work in full. "New tricot", "unchanging tricot", and various "challenges" are included in this colorful work.
The artwork for this album is also by the art director Tondabayashi Ran, who is active in a wide range of scenes. The artwork is based on the keywords from the lyrics and expresses her typical "venomous POP" in a perfect balance.
tricot's "10 (read as JU)" will be released on October 21, and the CD will include a total of 10 new songs, including pre-release tracks ("Omae (You)" and "Summer Night Town"). The DVD and Blue-ray include a new song “Itazura (Mischief)” and a complete recording of the non-audience live performance “Makkuro (coal-black)” release tour “Masshiro (pure white)” held on March 14, 2020 at Zepp DiverCity with supplementary sound by the members. In addition, the music video of “Uno Sano (Right Brain Left Brain)” will be included as special contents of Blu-ray only.
In addition, tricot and the popular illustrator, Asami Matsumura, who is active overseas, will collaborate to open an artistic pop-up shop at Seibu Shibuya store under the theme of Halloween. Matsumura's artwork of tricot members will be featured on the vinyl jackets of tricot's EP and original goods, so we hope you'll check that one out as well.
